Ugandan vanilla

We ordered both Ugandan and Madagascar extract grade beans from Slofoods. First, these are as nice or nicer than any gourmet beans we’ve ever purchased, Although we’re only a month into a full year extraction, the Ugandan batch is certainly as colorful and aromatic as the Madagascar variety. We can hardly wait to taste the finished product. Our hats are off to Slofoods, your products, communications and lightning fast shipping are all exemplary. Thank you Mike and Kathy

Different but good!

The flavor is deeper than other vanilla beans. I put a half bean in my sugar container I also put a small piece in when simmering fruit berries for a fruit sauce. Will use again.

Fresh and potent beans

The bean pods were well-packaged and when I took them out, I could see they were much fresher than ones I purchased from another vendor a year ago. The Ugandan Bourbon beans are currently aging in bourbon. After a few days, the vanilla is visibly infusing into the liquor. I plan to age it for a year, but even after a month, it looks like I could begin using the extract.
