Making a DIY vanilla sugar doesn't need to be complicated, just watch the video above and you will be well on your way to a decadent morning coffee or the perfect dusting on a sweet treat.
It's so simple, especially if you choose to purchase vanilla powder, rather than grinding your own beans at home. All you need is white sugar and ground vanilla beans! Can you use brown sugar for DIY vanilla sugar? Of course! Brown sugar has a bit of a richer flavor, so the vanilla may not be as noticeable in some of your creations, but we think vanilla makes everything better!
Once you have mixed the two ingredients together, your work is done. Now it's up to the vanilla and the sugar to marry together in vanilla sugar bliss. It will take about 2 weeks for the flavors to fully infuse.
