A hot summer day, a lazy weekend morning, a post workout meal; Açaí berry smoothies are great for all of these occasions and more. In this açaí we used just what we had around the house but be sure to use your favorite fruits and garnishes as well.
How to make an açaí bowl with freeze dried açaí
For our bowls and smoothies we really love to add a bit of fresh ginger. It really gives the açaí a nice fresh zing to help liven the flavors and makes the bowl so much more refreshing. 1 medium frozen banana, chopped
1 cup frozen mixed berries
2 tablespoon Slofoodgroup açaí powder
⅓ cup water or fruits juice
1 teaspoon ginger, grated (optional)
¼ cup fresh mixed berries, to serve
Gold leaf flakes, to garnish
Directions for how to make your bowl
- Add the above ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. You may have to stir or add a little or more liquid depending on how thick you want your bowl.
- Transfer the açaí smoothie to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh berries and gold leaf flakes.
