I'm a convert

I've been making my own vanilla extract for over a decade and used to buy my beans based on reviews at a Infamous Global seller. Was never sure what I would get. Then I found this company! The beans were beautiful! Fragrant, moist but not too moist, easy to cut open to expose the seeds and each Bean was six to seven inches long. I'm a happy extract maker! 💝💃🥳

Buy Vanilla Pompona from Madagascar Online

Pompona vanilla bean pods, a species of vanilla orchid long forgotten but now sought after by vanilla enthusiasts when making vanilla extract. Known for its larger than average size, Pompona vanilla beans these vanilla are definitely the king of vanilla. A leather like pod gives way to an immense amount of vanilla seeds and higher than average vanillin content. Often times referred to as the Mexican cured Madagascar vanilla, these vanilla beans are not blanched in water to kick start the enzymatic process. The higher water content of these vanilla beans makes sun curing vs. water curing the ideal method in order to reduce water content, intensify aroma, and stabilize the vanilla.

A rare but not forgotten vanilla species

Vanilla pompona has recently made a come back after decades of decline. Now this vanilla can be found being used to make everything from vanilla extract, ice creams, body scrubs and more. In our shop you will find these beans and many others vanillas to choose from for all your cooking and baking needs.

Pompona vanilla from Madagascar is not a pure Pompona bean but rather a hybrid of Pompona and Planifolia vanilla that happened after many decades of these orchids growing side by side. This is very similar to how Tahitian vanilla came about and was discovered growing in the wild in Tahiti.

How to use vanilla pompona

Pompona vanilla is used just like any other vanilla bean such as vanilla planifolia or vanilla tahitensis. To use these vanilla beans for baking, just slice the pod down the center and scrap the inner seeds to add to your favorite recipe. To use for making vanilla extract, we always recommend following the standard ratio as prescribed by the FDA.

Gourmet Madagascar Pompona Vanilla Beans

These were some of the longest, plumpest, oiliest and most fragrant bunch of beans I have ever gotten! I couldn’t bear to cut them up like I usually do, so I rolled them and fit them into my jars of alcohol, where I can admire them every so often! Madagascar Pompona is by far one of my favorite beans; they are so versatile and can be extracted in any type of alcohol. Slofoodgroup has never disappointed me. Quality products, low prices, fast delivery and great customer service has made me a customer for life!

Luscious Madagascar Pompona Vanilla

I recently bought 4 ounces of these wonderful pods. They were everything one might want, aromatic, supple, long, meaty, about 5 pods per ounce . Definitely wish I’d doubled my order.

Plumpest long vanilla beans I've ever seen and the flavor was great

I used them for flavoring homemade vanilla ice-cream. Really probably only had to use a half a bean since they were so plump
