Creamy Morel Mushroom Fettuccine

An Easy Pasta Recipe Using Dried Morel Mushrooms and Chive
We often get ask; how do you use dried morel mushrooms in the kitchen? Well the answer is really quite simple, there are many way to use our morel mushroom. In this video recipe you find one of our absolute favorites. Use this recipe creamy umami recipe on a dinner date, with family or just a late night meal. Creamy Morel Mushroom Fettuccine
Ingredients
8-ounce dried fettuccine pasta
3 tbsp unsalted butter
½ cup dried morel mushrooms
½ cup hot water
½ tbsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tbsp chives, chopped
Directions
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions and set it aside.
- In a small bowl add the dried mushrooms and hot water and soak for 15-20 minutes. Squeeze the excess water and slice the mushroom into halves and set it aside.
- Meanwhile, heat a saute pan and add butter. Once the butter is melted add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for a minute. Sprinkle the flour followed by ¼ cup mushroom-soaked water and cook for 2 minutes.
- Pour the heavy cream and allow the sauce to boil. Stir in the freshly grated parmesan cheese followed by salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked fettuccine pasta to the creamy sauce and mix it well.
- Garnish the pasta with fresh chives and serve while it's still warm.
