About Slofoodgroup
At Slofoodgroup, we source and sell the highest-quality vanilla, spices, herbs, and culinary tools available without compromise.
We are a direct importer of premium vanilla beans, vanilla extracts and concentrated vanilla products, saffron, organic cinnamon, and globally sourced spices, working closely with trusted producers around the world. Our focus has always been simple: exceptional quality, transparent sourcing, and fair pricing for everyone from home cooks to professional kitchens.
Our team brings decades of experience from luxury hotels and high-end restaurants across the United States, from Arizona to Hawaii. During those years, one challenge was constant: finding ingredients that truly met professional standards. That challenge became the catalyst for building something better.
Founded in 2012, Slofoodgroup was built on three core principles: quality, people, and process. Every product we offer is carefully selected for aroma, flavor, freshness, and consistency because great food starts with great ingredients.
In 2023, Slofoodgroup was recognized as both an Inc. 5000 and Inc. Regionals honoree, reflecting our growth among America’s fastest-growing private companies and the trust our customers place in our brand.
Today, Slofoodgroup celebrates a simple passion: long, plump, fragrant vanilla beans; exquisite saffron; high-quality cinnamon; and thoughtfully sourced spices and cooking products. Our mission is to connect chefs, wholesalers, bakers, food professionals, and passionate home cooks with the best flavor ingredients, and culinary tools and equipment available online—while staying committed to our customers, our partners, our families, and the communities we serve.
We know our products because we source them personally
From vanilla-growing regions to spice farms around the world, each ingredient is carefully selected through direct relationships with trusted partners who share our standards for quality and consistency.
These close partnerships allow us to maintain dependable supply, consistent flavor, and fair pricing. Ensuring you receive outstanding spices at a market price is our top priority for our customers, for Slofoodgroup, and for the growers and manufacturers we support.
Each product is evaluated for aroma, flavor, freshness, and consistency before it becomes part of our catalog or is shipped to you. Taking time to personally verify and validate the quality of product we offer matters to us, our family and our customers.
Big, small no matter the size of your order our team's goal is to deliver quality you can count on.
Where Slofoodgroup Began
Slofoodgroup began with a simple idea and a small amount of space. What started in a spare bedroom converted into a small shop and warehouse was driven by firsthand experience in luxury hotels and high-end restaurants, where finding truly exceptional ingredients was often harder than it should have been.
Rather than accept inconsistent quality, we began sourcing ingredients ourselves focusing on vanilla, spices, and specialty products that met professional standards. As demand grew, so did our commitment to doing things the right way. That growth eventually led us to expand operations and relocate to Florida, where Slofoodgroup evolved into a full-service, GMP-certified spice company with HACCP-based processes, documented quality controls, and global sourcing relationships.
Today, while our scale has changed, our approach has not. We remain hands-on, sourcing directly from origin, working closely with growers, and maintaining a presence in key producing regions such as Madagascar, all with the same goal that started it all: delivering exceptional ingredients without compromise.
Our Sourcing Regions and Partner Communities
Whether it’s the lush jungles of the Perfume Islands or the rainforests of Brazil, our team is on the ground—building real relationships and getting to know the communities we work with.
Our commitment goes beyond sourcing. Current projects include the development of a water well in the village of Masindrano, Antalaha, Madagascar, followed by an additional well in Ambodibonara, Antalaha, Madagascar. These projects were completed in late fiscal Q3 2024 and fiscal year 2025, respectively.
Supporting access to clean water in the communities that help bring our ingredients to life is an essential part of our purpose.
I was very happy with the Tahitian beans I got from this company - I could smell the sweet aroma before I even opened the package! I will be ordering from them again!!
Our customers agree Slofoodgroup is trusted for exceptional quality and consistency.
We don’t simply choose suppliers. We visit producers in the regions where our ingredients are grown. Working directly with trusted partners on the ground, including maintaining regional offices in key sourcing areas such as Madagascar. This hands-on presence allows us to evaluate quality at origin, strengthen long-term relationships, and ensure dependable supply, consistent flavor, and fair pricing.
