I'm a convert

I've been making my own vanilla extract for over a decade and used to buy my beans based on reviews at a Infamous Global seller. Was never sure what I would get. Then I found this company! The beans were beautiful! Fragrant, moist but not too moist, easy to cut open to expose the seeds and each Bean was six to seven inches long. I'm a happy extract maker! 💝💃🥳

Buy Madagascar Pure Vanilla Extract Made from the Finest Madagascar Vanilla Beans

Madagascar Bourbon vanilla extract, the most classic of all vanilla extracts and vanilla beans. This all-purpose pure vanilla extract lends itself well to most any baking recipe. Our vanilla is hand-selected from farms in Madagascar and processed in small batches using a cold extraction process that closely mimics the same steps and procedures used to make homemade vanilla extract. This process allows us to deliver not only the most flavorful and full-bodied Madagascar vanilla extract, but also the most unadulterated vanilla extract, sticking to timeless traditions and an unwavering commitment to quality every step of the way.

Many people often ask, what is vanilla extract made of? Unlike most spices and flavorings, "vanilla extract" isn't just a marketing term, it's a legally defined product category under FDA regulation 21 CFR 169.175, which requires vanilla extract to contain at least 35% alcohol by volume and a minimum concentration of extractable vanilla compounds per gallon. Vanilla is actually the only spice with its own dedicated federal standard of identity, a reflection of just how often lower-quality or adulterated vanilla has historically made its way into the market. Our Madagascar vanilla extract meets and exceeds that standard, made simply from water, alcohol (35%), vanilla bean extractives, and organic cane sugar. While sugar is an optional ingredient in any pure vanilla extract, it does serve a useful and practical purpose.

Baked or Unbaked: What Happens to the Alcohol?

When vanilla extract is used in a recipe that goes into the oven, the alcohol largely evaporates during baking, so it has little effect on the final flavor of cakes, cookies, or breads. In unbaked applications, like whipped cream, tiramisu, or homemade ice cream, the extract doesn't go through that same heating process, but the amount used in most recipes is typically so small that it gets diluted and dispersed throughout the other ingredients, meaning you generally won't taste it directly either way. For a full walkthrough on how extract is made and why these details matter, see our step-by-step guide to making vanilla extract, or check out our tips on using vanilla in baking for more ways to get the most out of every bottle.
