I'm a convert

I've been making my own vanilla extract for over a decade and used to buy my beans based on reviews at a Infamous Global seller. Was never sure what I would get. Then I found this company! The beans were beautiful! Fragrant, moist but not too moist, easy to cut open to expose the seeds and each Bean was six to seven inches long. I'm a happy extract maker! 💝💃🥳

The Whole Saffron Thread, the Traditional Way

A Complete, Traditional Filament

Includes the full stigma and style, exactly how saffron is traditionally used in many of the regions where it's grown.

Honest About Potency

The yellow and white style naturally carries less crocin, picrocrocin, and safranal than the red stigma alone, we're upfront about what that means for flavor and color strength.

Single-Estate Sourced

Harvested from a single estate in Herat province, Afghanistan, the same region behind our premium red-only saffron grades.

A Lower Price Point

A genuine, traditional format at a different price point than red-only grades, ideal for everyday cooking and larger-batch recipes.

Buy Hard-to-Find Bunch Saffron Online at Slofoodgroup

Hard to find but perfect for those who love saffron in its most traditional form, bunch saffron consists of the whole saffron flower filament, including the full stigma and style. From the deep red tips known as sargol, down through the negin portion (red fading to orange), to the remaining yellow-to-white style, the entire filament makes up the bunch. Internationally, most saffron sold is only the red filament, but traditionally, the full filament is used across many countries and regions that actually grow saffron.

Bunch saffron consists of the full length of the thread, both the stigma and the style, often referred to as red and yellow saffron. It's worth being upfront about what that actually means for potency: the yellow and white portions of the style naturally contain lower concentrations of crocin, picrocrocin, and safranal, the three compounds responsible for saffron's color, flavor, and aroma, than the red stigma itself. That's exactly why pure red-only grades like Negin and Sargol are considered more concentrated and potent. Bunch saffron offers a different, more traditional experience: the complete filament, style included, at a different price point and potency level than red-only saffron, genuinely useful for cooks who want to replicate how saffron is traditionally used in the regions where it's grown, or who simply prefer working with the whole thread.

Who Bunch Saffron Is Best For

Bunch saffron isn't the right choice for every cook, and that's okay. If you want the most concentrated color and flavor per thread, our Super Negin or Negin saffron will serve you better. But if you're cooking in larger volumes, want a genuinely traditional, whole-filament format, or simply want an accessible way to keep real saffron in your kitchen without the premium price of red-only grades, bunch saffron is a great fit. It's also a great starting point for those new to cooking with saffron who want to experiment before investing in a more concentrated grade.
