Where Slofoodgroup Began
Slofoodgroup began with a simple idea and a small amount of space. What started in a spare bedroom converted into a small shop and warehouse was driven by firsthand experience in luxury hotels and high-end restaurants, where finding truly exceptional ingredients was often harder than it should have been.
Rather than accept inconsistent quality, we began sourcing ingredients ourselves focusing on vanilla, spices, and specialty products that met professional standards. As demand grew, so did our commitment to doing things the right way. That growth eventually led us to expand operations and relocate to Florida, where Slofoodgroup evolved into a full-service, GMP-certified spice company with documented processes, quality controls, and global sourcing relationships.
Today, while our scale has changed, our approach has not. We remain hands-on, sourcing directly from origin, working closely with growers, and maintaining a presence in key producing regions such as Madagascar, all with the same goal that started it all: delivering exceptional ingredients without compromise.
Whether it’s the lush jungles of the Perfume Islands or the rainforests of Brazil, our team is on the ground—building real relationships and getting to know the communities we work with.
Our commitment goes beyond sourcing. Current projects include the development of a water well in the village of Masindrano, Antalaha, Madagascar, followed by an additional well in Ambodibonara, Antalaha, Madagascar. These projects were completed in late fiscal Q3 2024 and fiscal year 2025, respectively.
Supporting access to clean water in the communities that help bring our ingredients to life is an essential part of our purpose.
